1.Banasura Sagar Dam


Banasura Sagar Dam is extraordinary, as you can see in the picture. It is India's largest earth dam and Asia's second-largest earth dam. This dam is built on a tributary of the Kabani River. 

When you are on the way to Banasura Sagar Dam, you can see beautiful mountains and greenery on the way, and you can take fantastic pictures on the way as well.  

You have to walk a little bit to reach the top of the dam. On the way to getting to the top of the dam, you can see full of greenery around the place. After reaching the top of the dam, you can take many photos and enjoy nature.

2.Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary


Muthanga wildlife sanctuary is located 30 km from Wayanad. Muthanga wildlife sanctuary is a famous tourist destination in Wayanad

Here you can get a wildlife jeep safari with beautiful views of nature and the animals. It is a 4km long jeep safari inside the forest. This place is a paradise for photographers. If you have luck, you might see tigers and elephants through the safari.

3.Edakkal Caves


Edakkal cave is situated at Sultan Battery, Wayanad. It is one of the historical places in Kerala. Inside this cave, you can see the stone carving made by the people of those days.

These stone carvings are also seen to this day. After witnessing this stone curving, you will understand the life of the people who made this curving. 

There are also many drawings on the stones inside this cave. If you are a history lover, I highly recommend visiting this fantastic place.

5.Kuruva Island


Kuruva island is one of the best tourist attractions in Wayanad. It lies in the land of 900 acres. Kuruva island is located 29km from Wayanad

One of the main activities to do on the island is the river rafting of 15 minutes the price they charge is 150rs for 2 people and 300rs for 5 people I think that the 300rs is more worthy than 150rs. It is the best place for nature lovers.

6.Soochipara Falls

Soochipara waterfall is located 34km from Wayanad. It is a beautiful waterfall in Wayanad. To reach this waterfall, you would have to go to Elavayal, Vellarimala and then trek to get this wonder of nature.

7.Meenmutty Waterfalls

Meenmutty waterfall is Kerala's second-largest waterfall. The way to reach Meemutty is fantastic. You can see the beauty of nature on the way. I think Menmutty waterfalls is better than Soochipara falls.

8.Chembra Peak

Chembra peak is a famous trekking destination in Wayanad

It is a 4km trek. The area where the trekking starts is hilly. After walking a little bit, you can see a counter where you can go to a viewpoint which costs 80 INR per person. 

After reaching this area, a board will say that the trekking has started. The journey after this area is challenging, but don't give up if you complete it. 

You can see the great peak. It is hard because it becomes hilly through the trek. And after completing the walk, you can see the beautiful mountain. This place is one of the best places for shooting short films and documentaries.
